1. Overview
Baby Bird Team is a free, offline-first one-tap arcade game. You can play the entire game without an account, without giving us your name, and without an internet connection. We designed it to collect as little data as possible.
We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, or microphone/camera input. There is no user account and no login.
2. Data We Process
2.1 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows ads to remain free. Ads are served by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect your advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID) and device-level signals (device type, OS version, inferred region, ad interaction events).
Before any personalized ad is served in regions that require it (EEA, UK, Switzerland), the app presents Google's UMP consent form (GDPR / IAB TCF). You can grant or refuse consent; if you refuse, ads are served in a non-personalized / limited way where supported. You can reset your choice at any time in your device's Google settings. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the AdMob data disclosure.
2.2 Optional Online Leaderboard (Supabase)
The leaderboard is opt-in: it is only used if you choose to submit a score. When you submit, the app sends to our backend (hosted on Supabase, EU region):
- Pseudonym — a nickname you choose yourself (no real name required);
- Score — your game score and game mode;
- Anonymous device identifier — a random UUID generated on your device, used only to deduplicate and rate-limit submissions. It is never shown publicly — the public leaderboard read only exposes pseudonym, score, and rank.
If you never submit a score, none of this data leaves your device.
2.3 Anonymous Analytics (optional, PostHog)
When enabled in a given build, the app may send anonymous product-analytics events (e.g. "game started", "leaderboard opened") via PostHog to help us improve the game. These events are not tied to your identity. Builds shipped without an analytics key send nothing.
2.4 Crash Reports (opt-in, Sentry)
If crash reporting is enabled, Sentry receives technical crash diagnostics (stack trace, device model, OS version, app version) to help us fix bugs. Personal data is not intentionally collected and is redacted where present. Crash reporting is disabled unless a diagnostics key is compiled into the build.
2.5 Local Preferences (on-device only)
Game progress, settings, your chosen pseudonym, high score, and coins are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
3. What We Do NOT Collect
- No account, no email, no password.
- No real name, phone number, or contacts.
- No precise GPS location.
- No photos, microphone, or camera access.
- No data sold to third parties — we do not sell your data.
4. Children
Baby Bird Team is not directed at children under 13 and is intended for a general (mixed) audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, and we do not enable child-directed ad targeting. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact qubitumai@gmail.com and we will delete it.
5. Third-Party Processors
| Processor | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Advertising + UMP consent | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Supabase (EU) | Optional leaderboard storage | supabase.com/privacy |
| PostHog | Anonymous analytics (when enabled) | posthog.com/privacy |
| Sentry | Crash diagnostics (when enabled) | sentry.io/privacy |
6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because we hold almost no personal data, requests are simple:
- Access / deletion of a leaderboard entry — email qubitumai@gmail.com with your pseudonym and approximate submission time; we will locate and delete the entry.
- Local data — clearing the app data or uninstalling deletes all on-device data instantly.
- Advertising — manage or reset your advertising ID and ad-personalization consent in your device settings, or via the in-app UMP form (EEA/UK/CH).
- Opt-out of "sale" — we do not sell data; analytics and crash reporting are off by default unless compiled in.
EU residents may also lodge a complaint with their national data protection authority (e.g. CNIL in France).
7. Data Retention
- Leaderboard entries — until you request deletion or the entry is superseded.
- Anonymous analytics — per PostHog defaults, then aggregated.
- Crash reports — short-lived (Sentry default ~30–90 days).
- Local preferences — until you clear app data or uninstall.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves or as laws change. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be reflected here before taking effect.
